Enter the hidden cave from Middle Valley, descend through the dangerous lower levels, dive into the deep lake, and recover hunter's_diary.

  1. Start on the Middle_Valley map.
  2. Press K and locate There is a sturdy tree.
  3. When you reach that spot, set your compass to 0° and move down until you hear the notification about entering the hidden cave.
  4. Use Shift + Enter to enter.
  1. Go all the way down.
  2. Take 2 steps forward and go all the way down again.
  3. Take 1 step right onto the stairs and descend.
  4. Dangerous animals live on the bottom level. A strong weapon, shield, and at least 10 DFC are recommended.
  5. After reaching the bottom, move forward until you hit the wall, then take 10 steps left.
  6. There is a 1-tile drop there. Drop down.
  7. After dropping down one tile, set your compass to 225° and take 2 steps forward in the air onto the stairs.
  8. Turn to 180° and take 5 steps forward.
  9. Set the compass back to 225° and jump 6 or 7 tiles forward onto the stairs.
  10. Do not use a normal jump with Ctrl + Space + Arrow here. Move forward step by step to “jump” down, otherwise you will land on the animal level.
  11. After landing on the stairs, go all the way down and change your heading to North.
  12. Jump off the stairs.
  13. Move all the way back, then all the way left, until you find press shift enter down.
  14. Use Shift + Enter, go all the way down, then move right into the water.
  1. Once you are in the water, move at least 30 steps right.
  2. Now dive. The lake is very deep.
  3. Underwater you will find hunter's_diary.
  4. After picking it up, accept the quest with questaccept hunter's_diary.
  1. Get out of the water.
  2. Reach press shift enter up.
  3. Move up and use Shift + Enter.
  4. Move 42 tiles right and 33 tiles forward.
  5. You should find wide stairs above you.
  6. Climb them.
  7. Change heading to 45° and jump 6 to 7 tiles forward.
  8. Go up and set your compass to 0°.
  9. Jump up.
  10. When you reach the level with the animals, go all the way right, then forward, then 10 tiles back, then 7 tiles left to find the stairs.
  11. Climb the stairs and take 1 step left.
  12. Go up and take 2 steps back.
  13. Keep going up until you hear To_exit_the_hidden_cave_press_shift_enter.
